Hello, my friend!

We had some unexpected impulses hit the tape yesterday around Iran and headlines about potential deals.

This is exactly why I keep coming back to one simple rule: Never move your stop.

The market can change quickly. Headlines can hit, volatility can expand, and a trade that looked clean five minutes ago can suddenly look very different.

Your job isn't to predict every impulse.

🧠 Protect the account and stick to the number you were comfortable losing before you entered.

Prop Awareness

🟢 Lucid Trading

Lucid has changed what happens when a trader reaches the move-to-live stage.

Previously, receiving the LucidLive invitation meant taking the live account or forfeiting the transition.

The new process gives traders another option:

  • Decline the live capital and take a one-time Live Cash Out.

  • 50% of the allocated live drawdown × 90% split

Question yourself first:

  • “Can I get into the live account?”

  • “Is taking live capital actually the better decision for me?”

Lucid admitted roughly half of traders reportedly blow the live account in one day, while only around 18% have ever received a live payout.

That doesn't mean the live account is a bad opportunity. It means you shouldn't automatically treat the live transition as free money.

🧮 Run The Math

Guaranteed cash-out:
What is the actual amount being offered?

Live opportunity:
What is the realistic risk of entering the live account?

Your own trading:
Would you actually trade the live account differently than you traded the sim account?

🟡 If you're trading one of these firms, I'd re-read the payout article for your specific plan before making your next request. I don't want to call something a rule change until there's enough evidence to actually show what changed.

This isn't about judging your trading or your P&L. It’s simply a quick check-in to see where your mindset is before the market starts pulling at you.

Trading can be a very isolated journey. You don't have to go through every session completely on your own.

💥 Take the check-in. Know your number. Trade with more awareness.

🧠 The Takeaway

Here's what I'd keep in mind if this were my account…

Don't rush a payout decision just because an option becomes available.

Know exactly what you're eligible for, understand what happens after you click request, and make the decision based on your account - not the excitement of getting another opportunity.

Sometimes protecting the money already available to you is the better trade.
