Hello, my friend!
Today’s NY session was a perfect example of how quickly clarity can disappear.
Headline after headline hit the tape:
US to order 3,000 82nd Airborne soldiers to Middle East
US and Iran may hold high-level talks as soon as Thursday
Trump: The people that we're talking to in Iran want to make a deal.
I saw no sustained direction.
This type of environment creates what I call “no man’s land.”
Price floated above the Initial Balance highs, but without conviction. No follow-through. No real control from buyers or sellers.
And this is exactly where traders get chopped up.
Because when direction is unclear, the temptation is to always do more.
That can be the trap - which is why I did the opposite.
I caught a small trade - and more importantly, I downsized my risk.
Because once momentum isn’t clear after the first hour of NY, my edge starts to fade. The clean opportunity is gone. What’s left is uncertainty.
And uncertainty is expensive.
Most traders increase risk when they feel this pressure. They try to make the day “worth it.”
Not every session is meant to be a big day and not every chart is offers an opportunity.
Some days are simply about preserving capital and staying disciplined.
👉 It’s to be ready for the next clear impulse.

This is exactly why I created The Lounge.
A protected space for active traders - designed to help you stay disciplined during the most dangerous parts of the day.
The channel resets daily to keep the experience focused and begins with a quick check-in so you can assess your mindset before stepping in.
It’s completely free to join.
