Hello, my friend!

Markets have sold off sharply following the election results, as investors reassess the possibility of increased regulation across the artificial intelligence sector.

We don't need to get political. Our focus is on how these developments are moving the financial markets we spend so much time studying.

One of the most important tools on your chart isn't an indicator… it is your risk calculator.

  • Volatility has expanded.

  • Yesterday's position sizing may no longer make sense today.

  • Adjust accordingly.

  • Protect your capital and don't let the market dictate your decisions.

🧠 Of course, staying informed about headlines, market developments and prop firm updates matters - but above everything else, your job is to survive the session and remain disciplined with your plan.

BUSINESS MINDSET

FUNDEDNEXT ACCOUNT

I've always believed traders should approach this as a business. That means having a process you can return to, review and measure.

I personally use TraderSync to journal my trades from all brokers and prop firms as you can see above - and document my thought process and review my performance.

It allows me to build monthly and quarterly reports rather than relying on memory or how I felt about a particular trading day.

Every serious business tracks its performance and trading shouldn't be any different.

📊 For anyone looking to improve their journaling process, I've been using TraderSync. You can explore it with a 7-day free trial through my link here.

PROP FIRM UPDATES

1. FundedNext Futures | Higher withdrawal threshold

  • Minimum withdrawal increased from $100 to $500.

  • Previous 24–72 hour processing expectations replaced by twice-monthly processing windows.

  • New payout windows: the 1st–3rd and 15th–18th working days of the month.

Smaller payouts just became harder to access, and traders will need to account for a less flexible withdrawal schedule.

2. FTMO Futures | Higher qualifying-day requirements

  • $6,000 max drawdown account: daily qualifying profit increased from $250 to $300.

  • $9,000 max drawdown account: increased from $300 to $450.

  • Four qualifying days are still required.

Another reminder to look beyond account pricing. Payout conditions and qualifying requirements deserve just as much attention before choosing a firm.

3. Crypto Prop Firms | 103 rule changes across 23 firms

A November 2 industry review identified significant changes across the perps market:

  • 11 firms updated their published rules.

  • 44 account-plan lines were affected.

  • 103 individual rule edits were recorded.

  • MyFundedPerps introduced a $100,000 lifetime payout cap.

  • Vest Markets increased its advertised funded derivatives account size from $25K to $50K and its stated profit split from 80% to 95%.

⚡ Competition in the perps space is accelerating. Larger account sizes and higher profit splits attract attention, but payout caps and the fine print matter just as much.

The ice cream shop that makes money when it's cold

28 Wishes sells ice cream in Los Angeles. Below 70°F, sales fall about 20%. The weather is out of their hands. Rent isn't.

So the owners started putting about $20 a day into Kalshi weather markets, taking the cold side. The days that keep customers away now pay something back.

This is hedging. Big companies have done it for decades, buying protection against bad weather, fuel spikes and rising rates. It used to take a broker, a trading desk, and an order size no corner shop could meet.

Kalshi opens it up. Contracts on weather, fuel prices, inflation, tariffs and regulation, starting at a few dollars. Take a position on the outcome that would hurt you. If it hits, the payout softens it. If it doesn't, the contract expires and the good month was the point.

A final thought… do not evaluate a prop firm by its headline offer alone. Understand the rules, withdrawal conditions and restrictions before committing your capital and time.

Take care of your risk today, my friends. The next opportunity will come.
